CLEARWATER, Fla. – Westyn Baylor went 5-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs to lead Mansfield past Lock Haven 15-9 Wednesday morning at Jack Russell Stadium in the final game of the Mountaineer's Florida trip.

The win was Mansfield's 10th of the season and ninth in its last 10 outings. The Mountaineers went 5-1 in Florida to improve to 10-3 on the season.

Baylor hit safely in all five at bats, including three doubles, as the Mounties pounded out 16 total hits in the game. It marked the most hits in a game for Mansfield since racking up 18 against Penn College last season.

In 19 hits, Baylor has 12 extra base hits for a PSAC-best .867 slugging percentage.

Lock Haven led off the game with four runs, but Mansfield quickly erased its deficit, scoring three runs in the first and six runs in the second to lead 9-4. Baylor drove in the first two runs with a single up the middle to score Stanton Tentnowski and Seth Tressler. Eric Schanzenbacher scored the third run of the inning on a groundout.

In the bottom of the second, Tentnowski's reached on a nicely placed bunt and scored Marshall Kiessling in the process. In the next at bat, Schanzenbacher doubled down the left field line to bring in Tentnowski and Tressler. A Johnny LeClair sacrifice fly plated Schanzenbacker before a Brandon Miller double scored Baylor. Miller recorded the final run of the rally on an Owen Lukens single.

In the fourth inning, Miller's second double of the game plated LeClair to put Mansfield on top 10-4.

Lock Haven added two more runs in the top of the fifth inning, but the Mountaineers scored a pair of their own in the bottom of the frame. Tentnowski scored on a fielding error before Baylor brought in Schanzenbacher with a double to center field.

After a scoreless sixth, Lock Haven put three runs on the board to close within 12-9, but Mansfield answered with three runs of their own. The Bald Eagles recorded just one hit over the final two innings as Mansfield closer Jeremy Mapstone picked up his league-leading fifth save of the season.

MU starting pitcher Mitch Iseneker tossed a quality 4.1 innings on the mound, but it was reliever Chas Parsons who was credited with the win.

Anthony Kyne led the way for Lock Haven, going 3-for-4 at the dish with four RBIs and a run scored.
Miller went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a run for Mansfield with Tressler and Tentnowski each recording two hits with three runs.
Mansfield begins PSAC Eastern division play on Friday at Shippensburg before hosting the Raiders on Saturday for the home opener at Shaute Field.
