FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Rollman Blanks St. Michael's en route to 3-0 Win

SHIPPENSBURG - Kristie Rollman made a career-high 14 saves for the second straight game and Taryn Schawillie notched two goals early on as Mansfield blanked St. Michael's 3-0 in the Jane Goss Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

Schawillie gave Mansfield (2-0) the early lead on back-to-back goals in the third and fourth minutes. Junior Lacey Croasdale assisted on the first with Schawillie scoring unassisted on the second.

Croasdale found the back on goal in the final minute of the game to put the Mountaineers up 3-0.

Schawillie and Croasdale each totaled a game-high seven shots while combining to put six on goal.

Rollman was stellar in goal for the second straight game, making 14 stops for the Mountaineers. It marks the third time in her career that Rollman has recorded 14 saves in a contest. The complete game shutout is Rollman's second of her career.

Junior Jessi Swingle recorded her third defensive save of the season in the 25th minute. In yesterday's game, Swingle recorded a team-high two defensive saves.

St. Michael's (0-2) outshot the Mounties 25-17 while holding a 13-5 advantage on penalty corners.

Cassaundra Davis totaled seven shots with two on goal to lead the Purple Knights offensively.

Mansfield opens the season 2-0 for the third consecutive year. The Mountaineers travel to Slippery Rock on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
