Mansfield wraps up first half of PSAC East schedule with key game at West Chester Wednesday
MANSFIELD – Fresh off a critical win over Millersville Saturday, the Mansfield University men's basketball team will face another key game when the Mountaineers travel to West Chester Wednesday night to wrap-up the first half of the PSAC East schedule.
Mansfield, 7-11 overall and 6-10 in PSAC play, will be looking to pull to within one-game of tying West Chester for fourth place and with it the final playoff berth from the PSAC East with a win.

It will be a challenging task for the Mountaineers who have dropped all eight games on the road this season and whose last win at Hollinger Field House came in 2008.
West Chester is 9-9 overall and 6-8 in the PSAC East after dropping a 94-82 decision at East Stroudsburg Saturday. The Golden Rams 5-2 at home, including wins over Shippensburg and Bloomsburg in their last two appearances in Hollinger.
The Mountaineers are led by junior
Chuck Harper who ranks 18th in the PSAC in scoring averaging 14.4 points per game. Freshman
Joe Bell has won PSAC East Freshman of the Week four times this season and currently ranks 20th in the conference in scoring (14.2 ppg) and 13th in rebounding at 6.6 boards per outing.
West Chester is led by senior Lance McDowell who ranks 12th in the conference in scoring (15.2 ppg) and 9th in rebounding (7.5 rpg).
Mansfield opens the second half of the PSAC East schedule at Shippensburg on Saturday before returning home to Decker Gymnasium to host East Stroudsburg on Feb. 8.
