FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Field Hockey Falls on the Road to Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, PA -- The Mansfield University field hockey team took a 12-1 loss on the road at Bloomsburg University Saturday, November 6 in a PSAC crossover game.

The Mounties had trouble stopping a tough Bloomsburg squad who outshot Mansfield 41-10 in the game. The Huskies had 4four players record 2 goals each against the Mounties.

Mansfield didn't allow any penalty corners by the Huskies in the first half and took three for themselves.

Mansfield's Taryn Schawillie recorded her 11th goal of the season just a minute and a half into the second half when she put a Kristy Tutorow pass into the left side of the goal.

Mountie goalie Kristie Rollman recorded 8 saves and didn't allow a goal against in her 20 minutes of play.

The Mountaineers are back in action next Saturday, November 13th when they take on Mercyhurst in a PSAC West conference match-up. Game time is set for 4:30pm.
