FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield men improve to 2-0 with 86-50 win over Penn State-DuBois

MANSFIELD – Yuseff Carr led four players in double figures with a game-high 14 points to lead Mansfield to an 86-50 win over Penn State-DuBois Wednesday evening at Decker Gymnasium.
“I'm happy with the start we got out to,” said head coach Rich Miller. “We pushed the tempo and controlled the game from the start – defensively I thought our first group did a real solid job.”
Mansfield raced out scoring first eight points of the game and led 27-7 nine minutes into the contest.
Lavail Owens scored all 13 of his points in the first half and Derrison Anthony added 11 first half points to give Mansfield a 51-17 lead at intermission.
Also scoring in double figures with Anthony's 13 points, was Kevonte McClain with 11 points.
Carr's 14 points helped him pass Damar Lopez (1998-02) in all-time scoring with a total of 1,075 points to put him in 20th place.
Jovan Brown led Penn State-DuBois with nine points.
Prior to the game, the 2009-2010 PSAC East Co-Championship banner was raised to join the rest of Mansfield's championship banners in the rafters of Decker Gymnasium.
Mansfield improves to 2-0 on the season and travels to the District of Columbia on Saturday.
