Duke and Taylor Named 2025-26 Mansfield Fall Athletes of the Year

MANSFIELD, Pa. – Field hockey's Jenna Duke and sprint football's Jackson Taylor were named the Mansfield Mountaineers Fall Athletes of the Year after their standout seasons.

The pair were honored at the Mountie Awards on May 9.

On the women's side, Duke represents with her first Athlete of the Year award, becoming the tenth consecutive campaign that the field hockey program has had a seasonal winner. Taylor is the sixth consecutive sprint football athlete to earn the honor but the first defensive player since Kyle Post in 2015, not counting seniors apart of the 2021 class affected by the Covid canceled season.

 
JENNA DUKE-

Duke was the guiding offensive force for the Mountaineers in 2025. She had 14 goals and six assists. It puts her sixth in program history in points in a season and was tied eighth in NCAA DII. Duke was also eighth nationally in goals per game.

Duke earned second team All-PSAC honors.
 
JACKSON TAYLOR-

The Troy Pa. native was the heartbeat of the Mansfield defense. He set program records in tackles in a season (91), tackles in a game (19), and is already sixth in career tackles (139). Taylor was the leading tackler in every game this season and had 8.5 tackles for loss.

The 91 tackles was top in the Collegiate Sprint Football League by 14 tackles. He earned First Team All-CSFL Honors.
 
Winter Athletes of the Year will be announced June 17, Spring Athletes of the Year will be announced June 24.
