Mansfield Drop Twin Bill against Millersville

The Mansfield Baseball team competed in conference action on Saturday afternoon.

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Mountaineer baseball team (12-28, 3-17 PSAC East) hosted the Millersville Mauraders (26-13, 11-9 PSAC East) on Saturday (April 18) afternoon, with both games won by the Marauders 

Game One: Millersville 13, Mansfield 5

The Marauders opened up the game with 11 runs by the sixth inning, when the Mountaineers responded.

The Mounties picked up five runs in the sixth getting on the scoreboard, 11-5.

Millersville however added two more runs in the seventh to finalize the game 13-5.

Game Two: Millersville 13, Mansfield 5

The Marauders scored consistently up until the seventh inning where they sat with a final run count of 13.

The Mounties had a five run comeback to cut the lead but were taken by the loss 13-5.

The Mounties are set to travel to Shippensburg, Friday April 24th, in Shippensburg, Pa for the first two games of the series. With first pitch starting at 1:00 pm.
