MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mountaineer baseball team (12-26, 3-15 PSAC East) hosted the Millersville Mauraders (24-13, 9-9 PSAC East) on Friday (April 17) afternoon, with the Mounties stealing game two.
Game Two: Mansfield 4, Millersville 2
Ryan Sink was the starting pitcher collecting a total of five strikeouts.
Both teams sat silent until the Mounties unleashed runs in the second inning.Â
Slade McTigue had a double down the left line, allowing Nick Ledger and Kahale Burns to score.Â
The Marauders picked a run up in the third with a single to right field.
Ryan Sekulski had a long single up the middle, where Tanner Hoffman and Rocco DelGiudice scored, 4-1.
Matt Rader came in after to start the fifth inning.
Millersville had a last attempt to come back in the seventh, but were only able to score on.
The Mountaineers finalized the game 4-2.
Game One: Millersville 16, Mansfield 4
The Marauders started the scoring early in the first inning, with a double, single and a sac   rifical fly ball to left field to add four total runs to the scoreboard.
Peter Tadic had an RBI to left field, which brought in McTigue.
The fifth run was scored in the second inning giving Millersville a 5-1 lead.
In the bottom of the second, Hoffman grounded into a double play, giving enough of a distraction for Logan Wells to score.
The Marauders were unfazed collecting eight more runs in three innings giving them a 15-2 lead.
Billy Riggs had his second home run of the season in the sixth inning over the center field fence bringing Tadic home with him.
Millersville scored their final run in the seventh inning, with Mansfield to follow suit.
The final score of the game being 16-5.
