SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Mansfield University women's track and field team competed on March 21st, at the Keystone Challenge hosted by Shippensburg University, in Shippensburg, Pa.
A gaggle of Makayla Robicheaux, Wyoming Trudeaux, Sandra Lemus and Samantha Newman m finished second in the 4 x 100 meter relays at 51.07.
Newman finished third in triple jump with a mark of 10.90 meters , which places her fourth in program history.
Alyssa Parks took on the 400 meter hurdles placing fourth in the meet with 1:07.33 and second in school history. As well as the 100 meter hurdles finishing 11th at 16.87.
Newman also finished sixth in the 60 meter dash (12.87).
Lemus followed in the 100 meter with 13.52 placing eighth.Â
Trudeaux took on eighth in the 400 meter with 1:00.95.
Robicheaux crossed the line in the 100 meter at 14.03 for 11th place.
Nguyen made her first appearance in red, competing in the 400 meter for 14th place at 1:06.72.
Rebecca Knight debuted in shot put collecting 14th (9.25 meters) and hammer (12th - 28.51)
Trudeaux (26.93 - 15th) and Newman (28.05 - 16th) finished back to back in the 200 meter.
Blaze Wood took 16th in javelin with a throw of 23.81 meters.Â
Marissa Allen finished 16th as well in the 800 meter at 2:27.80 and 17th (5:16.61) in the 1500 meter.
A trio of Nguyen (19th - 28.57), Lemus (20th - 28.90), Robicheaux (21st - 29.50) competed in the 200 meter.
Parks took a chance at Javelin finishing 20th with a furthest mark of 22.32 meters, followed by Knight placing the same in discus (19.40 meters).
Mayla Falank finished in 21st at 2:45.93 in the 800 meter and 24th with 5:37.09 in the 1500 meter.
Ending the meet was the 4 x 400 meter relay of Newman, Parks, Allen and Trudeaux placing fourth with 4:27.34.
