WILLIAMSPORT Pa. – The Mansfield Mountaineer baseball team fell to #12 West Chester by scores of 9-0 and 10-0, at Brandon Park in Williamsport, on Saturday, March 21.
GAME 1: WCU 9 – Mansfield 0
Quinn Shindler started the game for the Mounties (10-13, 1-3 PSAC East) pitching 3.2 innings and tossing five strikeouts while only allowing three earned runs.
Mansfield struggled to keep runners on base hitting into three double plays throughout the game. Errors in the third inning lead to a three runs scoring.
Kahale Burns,
Slade McTigue and
Billy Riggs each went 1-3 on the day.
GAME 2: WCU 10- Mansfield 0
The Mountie bats were held in check once again by the Golden Rams (16-3, 3-1 PSAC East).
Ryan Sekulski was the lone multi hit player for Mansfield, going 2-3.
Austin Beauchamp started the game, pitching 3.1 innings and tossing three strike outs.
Taylor Blevins in relief tossed three strikeouts as well.
