UTICA, N.Y.– The Mansfield University women's track and field team competed on February 6th and 7th, at the Blue and Orange Invitational hosted by Utica University.
DAY ONE
Alyssa Parks made her first ever appearance as a multi athlete competing in the 60-meter hurdles (10.49), high jump (1.45m), shot put (7.78m), long jump (4.09) and the 800-meter (2:34.23).Â
Parks finished sixth in the Pentathlon with a total of 2,544 points. This places her with the fifth best performance in program history.
Abigail Davies ran the 5,000 meters, earning a career best of 22:27.83.
DAY TWO
Minyhah Easterling highlighted the second day with a record breaking performance of 12.10 meters. With that mark Easterling secured the school record in shot put, as well as a conference qualifying mark.
A pack of Mounties (Sandra Lemus, Zalayna Brown, Wyoming Trudeaux and Makayla Robicheaux) took fifth place with a time of 1:55.88.
Robicheaux finished eighth in the open 400-meter run with 1:09.31.
Mayla Falank placed 16th at a pace of 12:09.71 in the 3,000 meters.
Trudeaux competed in the invitational 400-meter taking 12th (1:02.93), along with the invitational 200-meter with 27.78.
Samantha Newman (14th - 8.22), Lemus (8.61) and Imariana Leuci (8.76) ran the 60-meter dash.
Davies finished the 800-meter first in her heat at 2:50.95.
Lemus and Brown finished back to back with matching times of 30.21 in the 200-meter.

Marissa Allen collected a time of 5:36.37 in the mile to start her day.

The relay team for the 4 x 400-meter finished ninth with Allen, Parks, Trudeaux and Newman collecting a 4:24.98.
Newman finished 12th in the triple jump with a furthest mark of 10.46 meters.
Brown rounded out her events with shot put collecting a personal best of 9.61 meters.
