MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's basketball team competed on February 4, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action against Lock Haven. The Bald Eagles secured the win, with a final score of 75-55.
Jenna Kasmierski led the Mountaineers with 16 points and 5 rebounds.
Katie Sheeler contributed 13 points and Delilah Nazih put up 10 points.Â
Kasmierski lit up the Mansfield (2-20, 0-14 PSAC) offense and put the first points on the board, sinking a splash 3.Â
A brisk back and forth battle between the Mountaineers and Bald Eagles (16-5, 12-3 PSAC) ensued after the first few minutes of play.Â
At the end of an exciting two quarters, Ty Woody made a paramount 3 pointer, pulling the mountaineers ahead with a score of 34-32.Â
After a valiant effort, the second half slipped away from Mansfield and Lock Haven ended the game 75-55.Â
