MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's basketball team competed on February 14, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action against Shepherd University. The Golden Rams pulled away in the final moments with 76 to 62.

 Katie Sheeler led all scorers with 26 points.

 Jenna Burkett provided key support with 10 points.

Both teams came out with high energy in the opening quarter, trading baskets early as the Mountaineers looked to establish momentum on both ends of the floor.

Mansfield fought hard in the second quarter matching Shepherd's intensity, possession by possession. 

Still, the Golden Rams found their rhythm offensively, converting on timely shots and pushing the tempo to build separation. 

Shepherd entered the break with a 14 point lead.

 The Mountaineers started the second half strong and defensively sound, disrupting Shepherd's offensive flow and generating momentum on both ends of the floor. 

Mansfield's pressure paid off as they trimmed the deficit to seven points with six minutes remaining. 

However, the Rams responded with timely plays down the stretch, regaining control and closing out the game with a final score of 76 to 62.
