BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's basketball team traveled to Bloomsburg in a PSAC Wednesday evening battle, falling 76-51, on Jan. 21.

Delilah Nazih was the Mansfield leading scorer with 18 points. Jenna Kasmierski had 10 points and a team high seven rebounds.

Mansfield (2-16, 0-11 PSAC) struggled to find their shot early in the game, opening 2-16 from the field in the first quarter. They did out rebound the Huskies (10-7, 6-4 PSAC) 13-10. The Mounties trailed 15-8 after the first quarter.

Ty Woody tried to be the spark off the bench with five second quarter points, but Bloomsburg heated up in their own gym shooting 11-18, holding the lead 39-23 at the half.

Kasmierski and Nazih led the charge in the third quarter. The duo accounted for 11 of the 13 points scored in the quarter. The Mountie defense had a block and three steals in the quarter but was still down 53-36.  

The Huskies would not let up netting 23 points in the final quarter. Nazih added seven more for the Mounties, and Mansfield had eight second chance points but would fall by a score of 76-51.

The Mountaineers return home to Decker Gym on Saturday Jan. 24, as they host Shippensburg. It will also serve as the teams Morgan's Message Game.
