The Mansfield Mountaineers women's basketball team traveled to PSAC East foe Lock Haven and fell by a score of 91-41on Tuesday Evening , Jan. 13.

Jenna Kasmierski and
KJ Gordon each scored a team high nine points for Mansfield.
Paley Adams had four rebounds to lead the Mounties.

Mansfield surrendered the first eight points of the contest before a Kasmierski three opened the scoring for the Mounties. The Bald Eagles (7-5**) and the Mounties traded baskets with scores by
Delilah Nazih and
Maya Dickerson for Mansfield, who trailed 19-7 after the first quarter.

In the following quarter, Mansfield's scoring was dived up between Kasmierski,  Ty Woody and Gordon. The defense continued to struggle and was down 46-20 at the half.Â

The Lock Haven defense continued to slow the Mountaineer offense holding Mansfield to nine third quarter points. Mansfield was held to 17% shooting in the quarter and were out-rebounded 17-9. Mansfield was able to get four forced turnovers but was in a big hole 68-29 entering the final quarter.Â

Gordon would score four of her nine points in the quarter, and was nearly perfect from the free throw line but the deficit was too much dropping the contest 91- 41.Â

Mansfield returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 15 as they welcome East Stroudsburg to Decker Gym.Â
