MANSFIELD, Pa. - Longtime Mansfield Head Softball Coach Edith Gallagher will assume the interim athletic director role of Mansfield Mountaineer Athletics effective July 1 until a permanent replacement is named. Coach Gallagher will continue to lead the Mountaineer softball program during this period. 

Gallagher, head softball coach since 1992 and the winningest coach in Mansfield women's athletics history, previously served as the interim athletic director in 2016. 

A nationwide search for the next Mansfield athletic director is underway.
