SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers Men's track and field team finishes with four top ten places at the Dave Labor Invite, hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday, April. 4.
A team of
Jon McDannell,
Ajani Gibson,
Jerry Holmes Jr., and Pius Adomako placed ninth in the 4 x 100-meter relay with a time of 45.60.
Rylan Ebner and
Derek Simpson competed in the 1500-meter finishing 71
st with 4:41.93 and 72
nd with 4:41.98.
McDannell raced the 110 hurdles in 17
th with a time of 17.07. He also ran the 400-meter hurdles finishing 22
nd with 1:03.43.
Adomako placed 55
th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.76 and 18
th in high jump with 1.80 meters.Â
Holmes participated in high jump where he finished 9
th with 1.85 meters, and 38
th in long jump with 5.58 meters.
Khyre Inman took a shot at the 200-meter placing 54
th with 24.92 seconds, he also ran the 400-meter taking 42
nd with 55.67 seconds.
Jackson Doughty finished in 11
th with 50.97,
Seth Neal in 21
st with 52.83,
Ibrahim Sheriff in 50
th with 57.15 and Gibson in 51
st with 57.15 as well.
Gibson attempted triple jump finishing 19
th with a mark of 10.88 meters.
Noah Shedden debuted in the 3000-meter steeplechase where he placed 9
th with 10:18.00.
Marcus Quaker finished 19
th in shot-put with an 11.01-meter mark, he also threw discus finishing 8
th with a personal best of 37.20 meters which is the sixth farthest distance in program history.
Michael Beals accompanied Quaker placing 43
rd with a mark of 16.90 meters.Â
The last event of the day was a thrilling team of Doughty, Neal, Quaker and Sheriff competition in the 4 x 400-meter relay. The team placed 7
th with a final time of 3:31.10.
