BROCKPORT, N.Y.- The Mansfield Mountaineer men's track and field team had seven top five finishes as they took part in the Brockport Multi & Invitational, on Sunday April, 13.
Rylan Ebner and
Derek Simpson finished first and second in the 10K to kick off the meet. Ebner finished with a time of 35:41.90, while Simpson finished with a time of 35:52.75.
Cahsid Raymond continued his stellar season taking the top spot in the 100-meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 10.74.
Pius Adomako Jr. would be the second highest Mountaineer to finish in the 100-meter dash, taking seventh with a time of 11.41.
Ajani Gibson would finish 28
th with a time of 12.23, and
Joshua Culver finished 32
nd with a time of 12.50.
Gibson would finish 22
nd in the 200-meter dash clocking in at 24.92.
Seth Neal would finish with a season best 4:11.19 time in the 1500-meter run to finish third.
Neal joined
Ibrahim Sheriff, Adomako and
Jackson Doughty to claim victory in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:27.71. A second team of
Khyre Inman,
Jon McDannell, Gibson, and
Greysen Kupsky finished eighth, with a time of 3:49.25.
McDannell finished second in the 110-meter high hurdles, finishing with a time of 16.44.
Jerry Holmes Jr. finished 22
nd in the long jump with a best mark of 5.79 meters.
He would return for the 400-meter hurdles finishing fourth with a new personal best time of 1:02.64. Kupsky finished with a time of 1:11.05 in his first collegiate 400-meter hurdle race.
Inman finished 18
th in the pole vault with a height of 3.71 meters.
Michael Beals competed in the discus throw with a best mark of 18.16 meters.
The Mounties are back in action on Saturday, April 19, as they compete in the Bucknell Team Challenge.
