Quaker Crushes Another Record as Mounties Compete at the Brockport Multi & Invitational

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Mansfield Mountaineers Men's track and field team stockpile multiple top ten finishes in the Brockport Multi & Invitational, hosted by SUNY Brockport on Saturday (Feb. 8).

Marcus Quaker debuted in the Heptathlon placing seventh and collecting a total of 4,386 points for the Mounties, breaking another school record in his first year on the team. 

He placed first in high jump with a mark of 1.82 meters, shot put with 11.30 meters and the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.66. 
Quaker added a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash (7.15), 10th in long jump (6.03), fourth in the 1,000-meters (2:56.51) and 13th in pole vault (2.45m) to his series.

Jon McDannell competed in the 60-meter hurdles taking fifth overall with a time of 9.06. 

McDannell also ran the 200-meters with 25.40 for 55th place. Cahsid Raymond ( 10th – 23.16), Jerry Holmes Jr. (38th – 24.22), Ibrahim Sheriff (45th – 24.61), Pius Adomako (46th – 24.72), Ajani Gibson (54th – 25.32) and Josh Culver (66th – 26.64) joined him as well. 

Raymond finished fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.05. Adomako debuted in the race placing 33rdwith 7.45, Gibson 58th with a personal best of 7.98, Culver 63rd with 8.12 and Michael Beals 66th with 8.82.

Jackson Doughty competed in the 400-meter placing third with a personal best of 51.17, Sheriff also had a personal best of 54.71 that placed him at 20th and Greysen Kupsky placed 36th with a time of 1:02.27.

Noah Shedden finished fourth in the 5,000 meters with a personal record of 16:12.28 while teammate Derek Simpson came in at 12th with 17:28.02.

Nathaniel Welch took on the 800-meter placing 22nd with a time of 2:04.72.

Kupsky took part in the 600-meter additionally taking 10th with 1:44.62.

The team of McDannell, Seth Neal, Welch and Sheriff ran the 4 x 400-meter relay taking 10th with a time of 3:42.03 to round out the track events.

In the field, Holmes and Adomako set out for high jump placing them (7th – 1.81m) and (9th – 1.76).

Culver participated in long jump taking 29th with a mark of 5.50 meters.

The Mountaineers are back in action on Saturday (Feb. 15) as the team travels to the Susquehanna University Invite.
