COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - In the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) release today, senior Ella du Plessis represented the Mansfield field hockey team as the solo member to earn a spot on the coveted 2025 NFHCA Division II Senior Team. 

36 student-athletes from 22 different Division II institutions earned a spot on the 2024 NFHCA Senior Team. Selections are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA coach members.  Seniors are eligible for selection only once during their collegiate careers.

du Plessis finishes her Mountaineer career with her first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) nod to the All-Conference Second Team. The senior was an assist artist, sending the fifth most assists in the PSAC with eight on the year. Helping guide the attacking line of the Mounties, du Plessis finished with the second most shots (54) and shots on goal (28) on the team.

During her career, the senior was apart of the historic seasons with the first back-to-back postseason berths in program history, which included their first home postseason content and first postseason victory in program history.
