ROCHESTER, N.Y.-Â Â The Mansfield Mountaineers Women's basketball team dropped a non-conference match up 76-69 in their first true road game of the year, on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Katie Sheeler led the Mountaineers (1–2) scoring a game high 29 points, with an efficient 12-of-23 shooting performance while adding four assists and three steals.
KJ Gordon and
Amiyah Nguyen each scored 11 points, and
Tyarah Woody pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds.

Roberts Wesleyan (1-1) set the early tone with a 22-point first quarter. The Mountaineers settled in during the second quarter, tightening defensively and finding Sheeler's three point shooting to pull within 36–31 at halftime.

Mansfield put together their best stretch in the third quarter, shooting 57 percent from the field. Nguyen, Sheeler and Gordon, helped guide the Mounties to tie the game at 53-53 heading into the fourth.

Roberts Wesleyan created separation with timely baskets and a defensive stand that held Mansfield without a field goal for nearly three minutes, to take the game 76-69.Â

Mansfield returns to Decker Gymnasium, for the first time this season, as they welcome Bowie State, on Saturday Nov. 22.
