MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Mansfield Mountaineers men's basketball team (0-1) competed against University of Charleston (1-0) in day one of the Ron Wilson Classic hosted by Millersville University. University of Charleston outpaced the Mounties with a final score of 107-57, on Friday (Nov. 14) evening.

Darrien Berrios Rivera lead the Mountaineers in his debut with 12 points and three rebounds.

Nasir Brown collected 10 points and three rebounds as well. 

The Mounties could not find a rhythm to match the Golden Eagles pace after tipoff.

Charleston's offense continued to find gaps to widen the margin, allowing them to take the lead into half 64-24.

The Mounties could not slow the second-half push, as the Golden Eagles took over and outscored them the rest of the way to cap a 107–57 loss.
