YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Mansfield Mountaineers men's track and field team visited the Mid-Major Invitational held by Youngstown State from Friday, Feb. 2 to Saturday, Feb. 3 with notable performances by the team in an excelled field.
Jackson Doughty ran the 400 with a time of 51.63, which now inks his name as the tenth fastest time in program history.
David Wootten took home 12th in the 3000-meter race, bringing in a time of 8:51.64.
The team of Doughty, Ibrahim Sheriff, Seth Neal, and Victor Ortiz finished off the two-day meet for the Mounties, finishing 12th in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:37.79.
Oyejadesola Diya earned her personal best in his young career with a throw of 9.50 meters in the men's shot put.
Doughty also finished 23rd in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.21. Sheriff and Michael Beals finished with times of 24.50 and 28.02 respectively.
