LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Mansfield University women's basketball team (2-19, 1-16 PSAC) fell on the road at Lock Haven University (9-13, 7-10 PSAC), 57-35, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Monday night, Feb. 6.
Alivia Paeglow finished with a Mountaineer high of 10 points to go with three rebounds and two steals.
Madison Fox added six points, while
Danae Ellzy and
Kenedy Stroup added five.
Jasmine Hilton pulled in a team-high eight rebounds.
The Mounties could not overcome a poor shooting night where they finished 13-of-54 for a 24 percent clip, while knocking down just one 3-pointer on 16 attempts. LHU, however, finished 24-of-53 (45 percent) from the floor.
Lock Haven built a 31-24 lead in the first half, but did not allow MU to connect on a single field goal in the third quarter, outscoring the Mounties 18-1 to pull away for good.
The Mounties best quarter came in the fourth, where they outscored the Bald Eagles, 10-8, after knocking down four free throws, while LHU did not get to the line once.
For LHU, Alana Robinson led all scorers with 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting.
