CANEADEA N.Y. - The Mansfield Mountaineer men's track and field distance unit raced the 5K at the Houghton December Classic on Friday Dec. 1.
 
David Wootten was the top Mountie finisher finishing in a time of 15:49.58, good for 12^th place.
 
Owen Showers and Derek Simpson finished back-to-back in 23^rd and 24^th with times of 16:40.26 and 16:45.92.
 
Rylan Ebner ran his first collegiate 5K finishing with a time of 17:58.07.
 
The sprinters and jumpers are in action tomorrow Dec. 2 as they compete in the Bison Opener hosted by Bucknell University.
