MANSFIELD, Pa. –
Jasmine Hilton scored 30 points to lead the Mansfield University women's basketball team, but the Mounties couldn't overcome a slow third quarter and fall to Millersville 63-53 on Saturday Jan. 28.
Hilton was 12-22 shooting and 4-7 from behind the arc while playing all 40 minutes. This is her second 30-point game of the season. She also added six rebounds and four steals.
Mansfield (2-16, 1-13 PSAC East) outscored the Marauders (10-9, 5-8 PSAC East) 25-15 in the final quarter but they couldn't overcome a strong third quarter run from Millersville where they were outscored 24-7.
Alivia Paeglow scored 11 points on 5-7 shooting.
Emilie Leidig had eight points hitting two three-point baskets. As a team Mansfield shot 38.2%.
La'shyra Williams lead the Marauders in scoring with 18 points.
The Mounties are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 1 as they welcome East Stroudsburg into Decker Gymnasium.
