MANSFIELD, Pa.- The Mansfield University men's basketball team fell to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East opponent Millersville 79-56 inside Decker Gymnasium on Saturday Jan. 28.
Mansfield (5-13,4-10 PSAC) was beaten on the glass by the Marauders (12-8,9-5 PSAC) by a total of 47-27, with 19 being offensive rebounds. The Mounties had a cold shooting night from the floor shooting 28.8% from the floor, but being nearly perfect at the free throw line shooting 21-24 from the charity stripe.
Three Mounties were in double figures with
Gabe Perez leading with 15 points and a pair of blocks.
Idris Ali and
Saraj Ali scored 12 and 10 points respectively.
Manir Waller was a perfect 6-6, and
Jordan Montgomery was 5-5, from the free throw line.
Drew Stover was the leading scorer for Millersville with 24 points.
The Mounties are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 1 as they welcome East Stroudsburg into Decker Gymnasium.
