ITHACA, N.Y.- Freshman Madison Ziska broke the Mansfield Track and Field long jump record to highlight the Women's Track and Field Team at the Southern Tier Invitational hosted by Cornell University.
 
Ziska landed a best mark of 5.11 meters which tops the record mark by 0.03 meters. She finished 6^th in the event.
 
Carly Daniels hit a PSAC qualifying mark in the mile, and currently sits atop the conference. She finished with a time of 5:18.60, which placed her 6^th in the race.
 
Abigail Taylor also hit a PSAC qualifying mark in the triple jump finishing ___ with a best mark of 10.75 meters.
 
Skylar Brown took home a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a best time of 7.80. Freshman Jakayla Holmes joined her in the finals finishing fifth with a time of 8.90. Holmes best time was in the prelims finishing in 8.78 seconds.
 
Kayla Crawford (1:28.68) and Anna Duncan (1:33.60) competed in the 500-meter dash and finished third and fourth.
 
Bailey Morgan, Shelby Alexander, Carrie Claypool, and Anisa Lytle finished in the 1000-meter run, finishing seventh (3:14.70), ninth (3:26.79), 10^th (3:28.86) and 11^th (3:55.66) respectively.
 
The Mountaineers return to action Saturday Jan. 21 as they travel to Houghton College for the Highlander Invitational.
