WILMINGTON, Del. – The Mansfield University softball team is set for their final tune-up before opening Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action as they travel to Goldey-Beacom College for a noon doubleheader on Sunday, March 27.

LAST TIME OUT
The Mounties played eight games in Myrtle Beach, S.C. as part of the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic, finishing the week with a 3-5 record.
The Mountaineers played in close games throughout the week, winning twice by one run, while falling in extras or by one run two other times.
The Mountaineer pitching staff got stronger as the week moved along, allowing three or fewer runs in their final four games, while clinching two shutouts.
Senior
Alexis Easling has come on strong as of late and has not allowed an earned run in seventeen innings. Easling (28.0 IP) is 2-3 with a 4.25 ERA, while fanning 23 hitters. Junior
Danielle Goff has been just as impressive and was a horse on the mound throughout the spring break trip. Goff leads the club in innings (35.1), ERA (2.18) and strikeouts (30), after tossing three complete games, including two of nine innings last week.
Senior
Lacey O'Donnell has been on a tear offensively and is leading the team in batting average (.400), while notching six multi-hit games to start the season.
Junior catcher
Anastasia Berardi is leading the club with five RBI, while hitting .333 to start the season. Sophomore
Kayla Vonstein has been a rock at third base defensivly and rounds out the Mountaineer hitters batting above .300, going 9-for-27 to start the year.

3/25/2015: Mounties Strike Lightning in Doubleheader
WIMINGTON, Del. – Senior Courtney Bauder went 4-8 from the plate and Ashley Inman picked up her fourth win of the season as Mansfield went 1-0-1 at Goldey-Beacom in softball action Wednesday afternoon.
Mansfield won the opener 8-2 behind Inman's complete game win but the nightcap ended in a 3-3 tie when the game was called because of darkness.
NEXT UP
The Mounties open PSAC Easy competition next weekend, beginning Saturday, April 2 when they travel to Lock Haven University for a noon doubleheader.
