MANSFIELD, Pa.- The Mansfield University Men's basketball team fell to the #3 ranked Indiana University Crimson Hawks 97-61 on Friday Dec. 2 in Decker Gymnasium to start the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play.
The Mounties kept the first half close before the Crimson Hawks went on an 8-0 run to lead 45-30 at the half to jumpstart the second half surge.
Sophomore
Scott Woodring led the Mountaineer scorers with 19 points going 7-11 from the field and 3-9 from the three-point line. Sophomore
Manir Waller added eight points three rebounds, and two steals. Freshman
Ryan Kelly made his first career appearance for the Mounties scoring six points going 2-6 from behind the arc.
IUP was led by the hot hand of Dave Morris, who tallied 24 points and went 6-9 from distance. Tomiwa Sulaiman had a game high seven rebounds.
Mansfield returns to action on Saturday Dec. 3 for the latter half of the PSAC Crossover weekend as they welcome Seton Hill into Decker Gym.
