Davis and Elkins' Najay King hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth to round out the scoring and put the game out of reach.

Senior Bryce Zaparzynski (0-1) was handed his first loss of the season after allowing three runs on five hits in five full innings of work. Freshman Josh Colon battled threw in inning of work, allowing four runs before handing the ball over to freshman Lorenzo Febbo and junior Jordan Cowen, who each threw a scoreless inning in relief.

Brent McMillion (1-0) earned the win for the Senators, tossing seven complete and striking out nine. Najay King and Jordan Worley each homered to highlight the Senator's offense.
