GLENVILLE, W.V. – Junior
Ryan Wentzel totaled two hits including a double to lead the Mansfield University baseball team, but Davis and Elkins College benefited from a hot offensive outing to earn an 8-0 non-conference victory in Glenville, W.V. on Friday afternoon, Feb. 21.

Dom Lopez each added a hit.
The setback drops the Mounties to 2-2 overall with two more games left on the weekend trip.
Davis and Elkins (1-0 overall) broke the scoring open in the bottom of the third with two runs on one hit. The next two frames went scoreless until Jordan Worley hit a two-run homerun to extend the Senators' advantage to 4-0.
Davis and Elkins' Najay King hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth to round out the scoring and put the game out of reach.
Senior
Bryce Zaparzynski (0-1) was handed his first loss of the season after allowing three runs on five hits in five full innings of work. Freshman
Josh Colon battled threw in inning of work, allowing four runs before handing the ball over to freshman
Lorenzo Febbo and junior
Jordan Cowen, who
each threw a scoreless inning in relief.
Brent McMillion (1-0) earned the win for the Senators, tossing seven complete and striking out nine. Najay King and Jordan Worley each homered to highlight the Senator's offense.
The Mounties are back at in tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. when they take on Concord University for a non-conference contest.
