Tyler Moffe led Mansfield with 19 points, but the Mounties would see a first half lead slip away in an 86-61 loss at Kutztown Saturday afternoon.

Mansfield scored on its opening possession, but back-to-back lay-ups gave the Golden Bears the early lead.
Garrett Cook scored five straight points with a lay-up and a trifecta before
Eli Alvin knocked down a pair of free throws to give the Mountaineers an 11-6 advantage.

The Mounties led by as many as 15 points at 33-18 with just over six minutes to play in the half aided by Cook's 5-for-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Kutztown closed out the final six minutes of the half on a 17-5 run to pull with 38-35 at the break.

The Golden Bears regained the lead early in the second half for the first time since the 16:43 mark in the first half and never looked back. Kutztown would go on to outscore the Mounties 51-23 in the frame to earn the come-from-behind win.

Moffe connected on nine field goals, including one trifecta, to pace Mansfield with 19. Cook poured in 14 points in the first half, but was held to just a free throw for the remainder of the game.
Nysir Marshburn added eight points and five rebounds with Alvin chipping in six points and five boards.

PSAC leading scorer Anthony Lee recorded a game-high 29 points to go along with 10 rebounds as Josh Townsend also posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Da'Quan Granberry came off the bench to add 15 points.

The Mountaineers shot 51.8% (14-27) from the floor in the first half, but were held to just 30.7% (8-26) in the second. Kutztown shot 50% (34-68) for the game.

Mansfield travels to Salem (W.Va.) on Wednesday before hosting Shippensburg in the home finale at First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium on Saturday.
