Men’s Basketball Falls at Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG – Tyler Moffe led Mansfield with 17 points, but it wouldn't be enough as the Mounties fell 91-65 at Shippensburg in PSAC East play Wednesday night.
 
Moffe continued to be the Mountaineers' primary offensive threat, hitting double-figure scoring for the 15thtime this season. Eli Alvin went 4-7 from the field, including 2-2 from 3-point, to score a career-high 13 points off the bench.
 
Taylor Sweeney added 10 points with Garrett Cook and Keith Farmer each scoring nine points. Sweeney and Farmer pulled down a team-best six rebounds.
 
John Castello posted a double-double for Shippensburg (15-4, 9-2 PSAC) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jake Biss recorded 15 points and Antonio Kellem 14.
 
The Raiders held a 45-33 lead at halftime and outscored Mansfield (1-16, 0-12 PSAC) 46-32 in the second half.
 
The Mounties open a five-game home stand on Saturday against Bloomsburg.
