MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University women's basketball team will host Bloomsburg in their last regular season home game on Wednesday at First Citizens Community Bank Court.

Mansfield earned the 63-53 victory over Bloomsburg in their first meeting this season. It marked just the second time that Mansfield has ever defeated the Huskies on the road and the 10th victory in 75 series meetings. The game also earned the Mountaineers back-to-back PSAC wins for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Melanie Taylor combined for 52 points.

Bloomsburg, led by former Mansfield head coach and Athletic-Alumni Hall of Fame member Alison Tagliaferri, is riding a five-game win streak coming off an upset win over East Stroudsburg 62-61. The Huskies currently hold an overall 11-15 record and 8-12 in the PSAC. Alyssa Mack paces the Huskies with just 10.0 points an outing.
BU is scoring the fifth most points a game in the conference at 82.2 but is beneath Mansfield in defense, allowing opponents to score an average of 78.2 points per game.

Mansfield closes out the regular season at Cheyney this Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
