MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Brielle Kelly dropped 21 points but it would not be enough as Millersville came away with the 58-45 victory at their home court in Pucillo Gymnasium on Saturday.
 
Kelly notched another double-figure scoring contest, shooting 10-for-21 from the field. Alyssa Mullins fell just short of her fifth double-double of the season, scoring 9 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Freshman Erin Gibbons added eight points of her own with six coming from the outside. Mary Kate Rumbaugh chipped in nine point, seven rebounds, and two blocks.
 
Freshman Lauren Lister topped the Marauders matching her career-best of 23 points.
 
Millersville held an advantage through a slow start before Mansfield came back with a late comeback in the second quarter. The Mountaineers outscored the Marauders 14-12 as Gibbons scored four of her eight points in the second frame. Fouls kept Millersville in the game as only two of their 12 points did not come from the charity line.
 
The Ville would regain the lead in the eighth minute to hold the advantage for the remainder of the game. The two teams exchanged baskets throughout the final frame, but the Marauders clinched the 58-45 win.
 
Free throw percentage made the difference in the match-up, as Mansfield shot 40.0% (8-20) compared to the Ville's 87.5% (21-24).
 
The Mountaineers continue their stint on the road traveling to Lock Haven on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
