MILLERSVILLE – Mansfield rallied from a 25-point deficit to close within two points of Millersville with just over a minute remaining, but the Marauders held on for the 77-71 PSAC East win Saturday.

Millersville opened the game on an 11-2 run and held a sizeable advantage for the majority of the first half, leading by as much as 23 points. Mansfield trailed 48-27 at halftime.

The Marauders held their biggest lead of the game at 56-31 at the 15:50 mark in the second half, but Mansfield used a 20-6 run over the next eight minutes to pull within 11 points. A

Tyler Moffe 3-pointer brought the Millersville lead down to just two points at 69-67 with 1:20 to play.

The Marauders closed out the game shooting 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the final minute to preserve the win.

Jeremiah Worthem scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Carter, who was held scoreless in the first half, posted 18 points in the second half and had five boards. Moffe registered his third straight game of double-figure scoring with 11 points.

James Sullivan led four Marauders in double-digits with 19 points.

Millersville benefitted by scoring 26 points off turnovers in the game.
