Malik Carter scored a game-high 22 points for Mansfield, but defending PSAC Champion Shippensburg came away with a 79-60 win Wednesday night at First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium.

Carter connected on seven field goals and 6-8 free throws for his fifth game of 20+ points this season for Mansfield (4-11, 3-9 PSAC).
Jeremiah Worthem scored 10 points with
Matt Tamanosky adding eight points and
Jahmir Green seven points.

Justin McCarthur led Shippensburg (12-3, 8-2 PSAC) with 20 points.

The Mountaineer defense snapped Preseason All-American Dustin Sleva's 55-game streak of scoring in double figures. The senior, who entered the game averaging 22.7 points a game, was held to just eight points in the contest.

The Raiders took a 31-23 advantage into halftime and outscored MU 48-37 in the second half.

Mansfield travels to Bloomsburg Saturday before returning to Decker Gymnasium on Wednesday to host Cheyney.
