Jeremiah Worthem scored a career-best 27 points for Mansfield, but Rafiq Marshall hit a buzzer-beating shot to lift Kutztown to a 92-90 PSAC East win Wednesday night a Keystone Arena.

Mansfield (4-9, 3-7 PSAC) held an early advantage, but the Golden Bears used a 10-0 run to take over the lead. Kutztown (11-2, 7-2 PSAC) would lead by as many as 13 points in the first half, but the Mounties worked their deficit down to just four points at 42-38 with a little over a minute until halftime.

A late 3-pointer pushed Kutztown to a 47-40 lead at the half.

Matt Tamanosky lay-up followed by a
Tyler Moffe free throw to start the second half brought Mansfield back within four points. However, the Bears would grow their lead back up to double-figures later in the game.

Kutztown led 74-63 with just over eight minutes remaining when the Mountaineers used a 9-1 run to pull within three points. The Bears then held a 90-81 advantage at the two minute mark, but Mansfield scored nine unanswered capped by
Malik Carter's lay-up with six seconds to play to tie the game at 90-90.

Kutztown raced down the floor where Marshall floated a shot from five feet out over a Mountie defender to win the game in dramatic fashion.

Worthem went 11-16 from the floor and knocked down three treys to lead all scorers. He was just one rebound shy of his fifth double-double of the season.

Carter totaled 17 points and pulled down five boards while Tamanosky scored 15 points and also had five rebounds. Moffe,
Cedrick Powell, and
Jahmir Green each added eight points.

Marshall topped five Bears in double-digits with 22 points.

Mansfield was red hot from the floor, connecting on 60.7% (37-61) of shots including 50% (8-17) from beyond the arc.

The Mountaineers end their two-game road trip at Slippery Rock on Saturday before returning to Decker Gymnasium on Wednesday to host Shippensburg.
