NEWARK, Del. –
Quashaun Jaquay Willis won the 800-meter run to highlight Mansfield track & field's day at the Delaware Open on a windy Saturday.

Willis finished the 800m with a time 2:00.05 to finish first overall in a field of 48 athletes, including many Division I programs. It was the first outdoor 800m of the season for Willis.

Ryan Clifford was second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and was less than a second off his personal best time from a year ago with a time of 10:01.24.
Allison McCurry also took second in the steeple at 12:09.63.

In the javelin,
Hunter Watkins took second in the field with his best attempt of 54.74 meters. The defending PSAC Field Athlete of the Week has finished second in the javelin in each of his first three outdoor meets.

Jenny Bellefleur raced to third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 26.16. Bellefleur's PSAC-qualifying times in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes were ruled illegal due to the high winds.

Nicholas Auchenbach placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with his time of 56.72.

Kenzie Jones hit a huge PR in the 3,000-meter run to finish fourth overall with a time of 10:25.48. Her previous PR set during the indoor season was 11:05.
Jordan Holmes finished with a personal best and took sixth in the 3K at 9:31.83.

Rachel Hohenwarter took eighth in the shot put with her best attempt of 11.54 meters. The senior also hit a personal best in the hammer throw at 41.01 meters to finish 11
th.

The men's side finished seventh out of 18 teams with 33 points and the women were 13
th out of 19 with 18 points.

The Mountaineers travel to Bucknell next weekend.
