CORTLAND, N.Y. –
Nicholas Auchenbach broke a school record in the 400-meter hurdles to highlight a stellar day for Mansfield Track & Field at the Cortland Classic on Saturday.

Auchenbach hit a lifetime best of 54.50 in the 400m hurdles to finish second overall and set a new Mansfield record. The sophomore eclipsed his previous PR by almost a second.

Freshman
Bryce Steiner also hit a personal best in the 400m hurdles at 1:00.82 to finish 13
th.

Jenny Bellefleur notched a PSAC-qualifying time in the 100-meter dash with a finish of 12.65 to finish fifth.

Improving her PSAC standing in the hammer throw was
Rachel Hohenwarter, whose top mark of 41.23 meters was good for a ninth place finish.

Ryan Clifford hit a PSAC time and personal best in the 5,000-meter run at 15:23.21. The sophomore took fourth overall.

Freshman
Hunter Watkins easily won the javelin with his best attempt of 58.86 meters. That throw was 13 meters better than the second place finisher.

Quashaun Jaquay Willis (4:12.81),
Jordan Holmes (4:19.01),
Dylan Rhodes (4:25.93), and
Travis Keefe (4:26.20) all hit personal bests in the 1,500-meter run. Keefe (2:07.65) and Rhodes (2:13.40) also hit PRs in the 800-meter run.

In the women's race,
Kenzie Jones (4:52.99), Janelle Peachy (5:17.55), and
Lauren Blechl (5:59.57) all got personal bests in the women's 1500m run. It was the 12th straight race where Jones has hit a personal best in an event. Peachy (2:39.97) and
Ayla Rohl (2:53.80) each hit personal bests in the 800m run.

Mansfield will send a small contingent to the historic Penn Relays this week.
