Tianna Jackson paced Mansfield with 15 points, but the Mountaineers let a fourth quarter lead slip away in a 56-49 PSAC East loss to Millersville Wednesday night at First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium.

Millersville (9-12, 7-9 PSAC) scored the first six points of the game before
Brielle Kelly put Mansfield (4-16, 2-14 PSAC) on the board with a lay-up less than three minutes into play. The Mounties closed within two points twice before a
Mary Kate Rumbaugh 3-pointer at the four-minute mark brought Mansfield within one point at 9-8.
Melanie Taylor connected on a pair of free throws at the end of the quarter to tie the game at 13-13.

Kelly opened the second quarter with a jumper to give the Mountaineers their first lead of the game at 15-13. Millersville quickly regained the lead, but Mansfield ripped off a 14-0 run to over a five-minute span to jump out to a 29-18 advantage.
Micaiah Battle drained a 3-pointer and the ensuing free throw to complete a four-point play and give Mansfield its biggest lead of the game at 13 points.

Mansfield held a 33-25 lead at halftime.

Millersville used a 7-0 run to pull within three points and closed out the third quarter facing a 40-36 deficit.

An Aunjel Van Brakle trifecta to open the fourth quarter brought the Mansfield lead down to one point before the Marauders took their first lead since early in the second quarter on a pair of Celeste Robinson free throws. After four lead changes, Millersville took the advantage and would not look back, closing out a 31-16 half to rally for the win.

Jackson hit four field goals, including a pair of treys, and was 5-of-6 from the line for 15 points. She also grabbed a season-high six boards. Kelly added 12 points and eight rebounds with
Alyssa Mullins also pulling down eight boards.

Rumbaugh netted nine points and recorded a career-best five blocks.

Robinson led Millersville with a game-high 17 points.

22 team turnovers and just 17.2% (5-29) shooting in the second half stymied the Mountaineers.
