MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University women's basketball team opens PSAC competition this weekend as they travel to Seton Hill on Saturday before taking on California (Pa.) on Sunday.

The Mountaineers opened their season last weekend and are off to a 2-1 start. Brielle Kelly tops three Mounties in double figures with 16 points a game and is a shot shy of reaching her 1,000-point milestone.
 
Freshman Erin Gibbons made a solid first impression in adding 14 points in her debut against West Virginia State, going 5-8 from the floor and 4-6 from outside. Alyssa Mullins recorded her first career double-double with 28 points and 13 boards against West Virginia State while Mary Kate Rumbaugh has added 19 points and 16 rebounds in the opening week.
 
Seton Hill has split their first two games with a win over Lincoln University. Both Jenna Kaufman and Cheyenne Trest pace the Griffins at 24 points a game while Halie Torris rounds out the double-figure averages scoring 11.5 a game.
 
California faces their first PSAC match-up tomorrow when they host Kutztown University. A win would leave them undefeated in their first week. Shatara Parsons leads the Vulcans in scoring at 30 points a game while Mia Cushon averages a double-double with 16.5 points and 13.5 rebounds an outing.
