BLOOMSBURG – A first-half Mansfield lead slipped away in the final two quarters as Bloomsburg came away with a 53-37 PSAC East win Wednesday night at Nelson Field House.

Tianna Jackson led Mansfield (3-11, 1-9 PSAC) offensively with nine points.
Brielle Kelly added eight points and nine rebounds with
Mary Kate Rumbaugh recording eight points and seven boards.

Bloomsburg (2-12, 1-9 PSAC) was led by Morgan Klunk's game-high 18 points and nine rebounds. Taylor Montana came off the bench to score 14 points for the Huskies.

Neither team could get much to fall from field goal as Mansfield was limited to just 25.5% (13-51) and Bloomsburg 30.4% (17-59).

The Mountaineers jumped out to a 13-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 22-20 halftime lead. It was all Bloomsburg in the second half, outscoring the Mounties 17-9 in the third and 16-6 in the fourth to earn its first conference win.

Mansfield hosts Kutztown on Saturday.
