BECKLEY, W.Va. – Mansfield University senior baseball standout Taylor Hillson has been named to All-Prospect League Eastern Division recognition at short stop after helping the West Virginia Miners to a Prospect League Championship this summer.
 
Over 57 games, Hillson batted .265 at the plate while recording 37 runs and 18 RBIs. He was second on the team in stolen bases with 17. Defensively, Hillson posted a .955 fielding percentage and was the Miners' "iron man", playing a team-best 462 innings.
 
West Virginia defeated the Quincy Gems in the Prospect League Championship Series to claim the 2016 title.
