HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Kyle Blose, Charlsie Bowen, Quashaun Jaquay Willis and Quanda Williams each won their events to lead Mansfield track & field at Houghton's December Classic on Friday Night.

Blose won the shot put and improved upon his PSAC mark with a top attempt of 15.03 meters. His top mark came in the second throw of finals after recording an attempt of 15 meters in prelims.

Bowen won the pole vault and improved upon her PSAC mark from a week ago with a height of 3.50 meters. The junior missed once at 3.35 meters before clearing 3.5 meters in her first attempt.

Willis won the mile and registered a conference mark and a personal best at 4:28.23.

Williams took first in the 400-meter with a time of 1:04.68.

Kenzie Jones and Kirsten Anderson hit each notched personal bests and PSAC-qualifying times in the 5,000-meter run. Jones finished fourth with a time of 18:44 with Anderson sixth at 19:07.

Rachel Hohenwarter hit a PR in the weight throw to improve her PSAC mark and finish third at 13.11 meters. The senior also took second in the shot put at 10.91 meters.

Registering a pair of second place finishes was Nick Auchenbach in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. The sophomore hit a PSAC mark in the 400m at 51.20.

After an extended break, the Mountaineers will return to action at Houghton on Jan. 20.
