EAST STROUDSBURG –
Katie Fitzpatrick scored a team-high 17 points, but the Mountaineers saw an early lead slip away in a 79-65 loss at East Stroudsburg Wednesday night.

Fitzpatrick moved past Glenda Oswald (1989-92) for eighth in program scoring with 1,129 career points. The senior is now just 38 points away from passing Kathy Murphy (1992-95) for seventh on the all-time list. Fitzpatrick added seven rebounds and four assists in the game.

Brielle Kelly was just shy of recording a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.
Tianna Jackson came off the bench to score 12 points, connecting on three 3-pointers.
Mary Kate Rumbaugh added nine points and eight rebounds.

East Stroudsburg was led by Allison Howard's game-high 24 points. Noelle Powell chipped in 16 points.

Mansfield was on top for the majority of the first quarter and led by as many as seven points twice. The quarter ended with the Mounties up 22-19.

In the second quarter, East Stroudsburg quickly regained the lead and outscored the Mounties 24-10 to take a 43-32 lead in to half.

Mansfield was unable to close the gap in the second half.

The Mountaineers outrebounded their opponent 45-35 in the game.

Mansfield will host West Chester on Saturday at First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium.
