CLEARWATER, Fla. – Mansfield dropped a pair of nine-inning baseball games Tuesday, falling 7-3 to Tiffin before dropping a 19-1 decision to No. 7 Seton Hill at Frank Tack Field.

Jacob Molison and
Eric Schanzenbacher each collected two hits on the day while
Anthony Renz hit a solo home run to highlight the Mountaineer's offensive effort.

Tiffin opened the game with a run in the top of the first to take an early lead. In the bottom of the fourth, Molison gave the Mountaineers a 2-1 advantage clearing the base paths with a single to right field to bring in Schanzenbacher and Wes Baylor.

The Dragons evened the score with a run in the fifth before adding five more runs in the eighth to lead 7-2. Three of the five runs in the eighth were unearned with two errors by Mansfield in the inning.

Renz drilled his second homer of the season to lead off the ninth, but the Mounties were unable to spark a comeback.

Mike Cooperider earned the victory on the mound going 3.2 innings with one earned run and three strikeouts.
Jeremy Mapstone took the loss.
Dan Harms had a solid outing for MU, pitching 4.2 innngs with two earned on four hits with five strikeouts.

In game two it was all nationally-ranked Seton Hill who scored five runs in the bottom of the first, two in the second and one in the third and fourth to jump out to a 9-0 lead. The defending regional champions tacked on six runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth.

The Mountaineer's lone run came in the top of the eighth, when
Troy Wilson moved to third on a passed ball and then scored on an error.

Zach Martinelli was stellar on the mound for Seton Hill pitching 7.2 innings allowing just two hits and no earned runs.
Louis Sick took the loss.

Nick Sell went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs while Garrett Vrbanic went 3-for-3 with three runs scored for the Griffins. Adam Ferita went 3-for4 with four RBIs and two runs.

The Mountaineers play Upper Iowa on Wednesday for its final game in Florida.
