SHIPPENSBURG – Katie Fitzpatrick poured in a career-high 32 points, but Mansfield came up short in a 90-78 loss at Shippensburg Saturday afternoon.
 
Fitzpatrick connected on 12-of-17 shots from the field and went 8-for-9 from the free throw line to lead three Mountaineers in double-figure scoring. She also grabbed 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
 
Brielle Kelly also registered a double-double in the game with 14 points and 10 boards. Kelly showed off her range, knocking down a pair of treys. Becky Evans added 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Tianna Jackson recorded nine points.
 
Shippensburg's (9-7, 5-5 PSAC) Logan Snyder led six players in double-figure scoring with a team-high 19 points. Morgan Griffith and Colleen Young each chipped in 14 points.
 
The Mountaineers scored first on a pair of Melanie Taylor free throws and led for much of the early part of the game. Mansfield (1-14, 0-11 PSAC) held a 9-6 advantage with 13:42 to play and then 13-11 at the 10:48 mark, but the Lady Raiders regained the lead and closed out the first half with a 43-33 advantage.
 
Shippensburg went on a run to open the second half and lead by as many as 20 points. Mansfield worked its deficit down to 10 points on four different occasions but could pull no closer.
 
The Mountaineers' .415 (27-65) shooting from the floor was their highest percentage in four games.
 
Mansfield returns home to host Bloomsburg on Wednesday.
