Melanie Taylor topped the Mounties with 12 points, but No. 20 Bloomsburg was too much for Mansfield in an 85-45 decision Wednesday night at First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium.

Taylor was just one point shy of her career high of 13 set in the season opener against Central Penn.
Brielle Kelly scored nine points while Mansfield (1-14, 0-11 PSAC) leading scorer
Katie Fitzpatrick added eight points and five boards.

Bloomsburg was led by Adreana Sadowski's 15 points and six rebounds. Camden Boehner came off the bench to score 14 points while Morgan Klunk added 10 points.

Bloomsburg (11-2, 9-1 PSAC) held a 38-26 rebounding advantage in the game and shot 48.4% (31-64) from the floor including 52.6% (10-19) from beyond the arc. Mansfield connected on 39.1% (18-46) of shots from the field and hit 5-of-11 from 3-point.

The Huskies opened the game with a 3-pointer before leading by six points at the 16:29 mark. Mansfield responded by using a 7-0 run to take their only lead of the game at 9-8 with 12:40 to play in the half.

Bloomsburg regained its lead two minutes later and quickly built up a 14-point advantage over the next four minutes. Mansfield went into halftime trailing 43-23.

Bloomsburg continued to set the pace in the second half to win its fifth straight game.

Mansfield is off on Saturday and returns to action on Wednesday at East Stroudsburg.
