FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Baseball Honors Eight Seniors with Gazella Award Friday

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University baseball program and Mountaineer athletics will honor eight seniors with the Mike "Gazook" Gazella Award prior to Friday's home doubleheader with Bloomsburg.
The presentation will be held at 12:40 p.m. with first pitch set for 1 p.m. Fans unable to attend the games can listen to all the action with Bob Michaels of RLM Sports.

Mountaineer seniors Johnathan Earnest, David Forbes, Mitchell Iseneker, Johnny LeClair, Brandon Miller, Quin Taylor, Stanton Tentnowski and Seth Tressler will all be honored during pregame ceremonies.

Mike "Gazook" Gazella was one of four Mountaineers to reach the major leagues playing four seasons with the New York Yankees and was a member of the fabled 1927 team along with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.

Throughout his career he was renowned for his competitive spirit and dedication to his teammates.

Following Friday's doubleheader, the Mountaineers will conclude the 2014 season with a twin bill at Bloomsburg on Saturday.
